Gearing Up, Tickets Up, Maps Down

Ticket Prices Going Up

As promised when we launched WordCamp, now that the first 100 tickets (and then some) are gone, we will be increasing our ticket prices as of 1 February. We encourage you to get your tickets while they are still cheap.

While the blog has been quiet, there’s a lot in the works behind the scenes and we’re looking forward to releasing the following into the wild:

  • Announcing the next round of speakers very shortly
  • Extremely cool swag bag loot for attendees
  • Announcing our last few sponsors (we only have four spots left!)

One of the reasons there’s been a delay in finalising the speakers is that we are, frankly, way behind on our WordCamp email. Katherine and I both apologise; we are digging ourselves out of the email black hole this weekend. Holidays, travel and our real jobs got the better of us but WordCamp is full steam ahead and we’ve gone to press with our first printed materials for the conference.

OK sure – not very thrilling for you, but very exciting for us.

Anyway, here’s the venue map of where all the action will be happening, complete with our major sponsors:

floorplanFine, we’ll just sit here and be excited by our map all by ourselves.

Great work so far. Really looking forward to it. :) Any word on hotel options/rates?

  2. admin says:

Yep, there are hotel options here.

If you ask for the WordCamp rate in either Langton’s or The Pembroke, you should get B&B for €65 per person sharing. We’ll have other rates on Monday.

The B&Bs on that page are all good too, and all within a couple of minutes walk of Langton’s.

    I will attend!
Since the form is still broken for the extra dinner tickets please let me know how to order them. (Just bought a single conference ticket).

  4. Paul Gibbs says:

Looking forward to hearing about these other hotel rates — good timing as I am going to get organised this week!

  5. Hi
I;ve been trying to book for ages now, and am unable still to book on the website. I see the links to the tickets page, but no link or form is showing up. I’ve tried 3 browsers and know at least one other with same issue. (Una Coleman did have a similar issue, i think, but did manage to book over the weekend).

I tried to contact via contacts page, but, hmm, cant find contact to email on that page or elsewhere (and my tweet @WordCampIRL went unnoticed).

    Help please?

    Thanks in advance.

    Andrew

(just wondering if the web is conspiring to not to allow me attend :) )
