Coming by Car
There is free parking at Langton’s for those attending WordCamp – the links below have directions right to the car park entrance.
Kilkenny is approximately:
- 1 hour 40 minutes from Dublin
- 2 hours 15 minutes from Cork
- 2 hours 40 minutes from Galway
- 1 hour 50 minutes from Limerick

Should the car park at Langton’s be full, there is lots of parking available at McDonagh Junction, which is a 5 minute walk away. Parking there costs €6 per day.
Coming by Train
Kilkenny is on the Dublin-Waterford line (Timetable PDF), with 6 trains daily in each direction on Friday, 4 on Saturday and Sunday. The railway station is approximately 5 minutes walk from the camp venue.
Coming from Dublin Airport
There is an excellent private bus service direct from Dublin Airport with two routes serving Kilkenny:
- Dublin Airport to Clonmel – depart daily at 06:15, 10:15, 13:30, 17:00 and 20:30
This is the best route, you will get off at Patrick St, Kilkenny, about a 5 minute walk from the venue. - Dublin Airport to Waterford - depart daily at 14:25, 15:40, 16:25, 17:15 and 18:40
If you plan to take this route, you’ll get off at Paulstown which is approximately 10 miles from Kilkenny. Please let us know in advance and we will endevour to pick you up from the bus.
There is no need to purchase a ticket in advance.
